Elders Joey & Marjorie Lowery

Pastor Lowery was reared in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and was called to rededicate his life to Christ and the ministry in October 1995. He has served as an ordained Elder, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor for the past 23 years and accepted the calling to serve as Senior Pastor of Waterstone Christian Center, Heath, TX in May of 2022.  He fervently believes that the Great Commission of the Church is to go forth and make disciples of every person. The church has the awesome responsibility of transforming sinners into saints, the helpless into the helpful, and believers into Christians. His vision incorporates the belief that evangelism and discipleship are vital gifts ordained for the successful functioning of the church.

Pastor Lowery is a native of Mississippi and a 24 yr. US Air Force Veteran. He married his high school sweetheart Marjorie (Hooper) in 1984, and they are the proud parents of one son, Joey Jr. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental Management from Columbia Southern University.

First Lady Lowery has proven to be anchored in the Lord, working alongside her husband in ministry for the past 27 years. She received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1995, accepted her calling to minister in 1996, and immediately went forth in the gift of exhortation, sharing the Word with anyone who had an ear to hear.  She has remained faithful to her calling with an unrelenting devotion to serve those that are seeking the excellency in life that God promises and is faithful to provide. She exemplifies a woman of God who upholds the blood-stained banner of Christ in spirit and in truth and is devoted to building the character and esteem of people everywhere.

She attended Abilene Christian University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Business, minored in communication, and is working towards a graduate degree in Conflict Management and Resolution from ACU as well. As a lifelong learner, she continues to evolve into one who is able to rightly divide interpersonal perspectives in the pursuit of her ordained purpose.
